I've tried oysters once, with a lot of lemon and some chile. I didn't like them.

I'm so not a morning person. I slept in my sister's room at home. The window faces south, but the morning sunlight streams in through the top of the window (a half-circle arc) and her light colored curtains. I couldn't sleep too long, and that bugged me.

Comfort post no. 2 ;)

Oysters are OK. I think a long time ago someone figured out that they were edible and somewhat rare, concocted a story about sex drive, got the French involved and now you have the timeless obsession with oysters. I had some tempura oysters once (two, to be exact) and they tasted more than ok, but that might say more about my joy of foods in tempura batter than the quality of the oyster.

As a result, I tend to like to think of the world as my tempura covered treat. What's inside doesn't always wash down the way I'd like, but the tempura always makes it that little bit more compatible.

Speaking of English (I just had to say that because my friend used that segue in the weekend) actually, I meant, speaking of food, my friend and I made lunch and a three course meal for our ladies on Saturday, matching wines. Lots of fun, but damn if we weren't all tuckered out by 10:30. Cooking from 12:30 - 8:30 can really take it out of a guy. sheesh.

i'm a morning person, but i don't like light seeping into my bedroom at all. i have very dark curtains (dark blue) and blinds up, and sometimes i still wish for darkness. now, in my living room, totally different story; as soon as i wake up, and make up my bed, i come into the living room to open up the blinds to let a little sunshine in...

i go to bed around 10:00 or 10:30 pm during the weekdays, the weekends, the hours are totally different. yet, i still wake up before 10:00 am on the weekends no matter how late i fall asleep. and, oysters are divinely delicious...
